Every year in November, Ukraine commemorates the victims of the Holodomor famine. Millions of people died of starvation in 1932-1933 in Ukraine. The monument “Candle of Memory” in memory of the Holodomor victims was unveiled in Uzhgorod (Transcarpathia, Ukraine) in November 2018. I have been working on this monument all year round. This is the image of a woman in the last prayer, whose life melts like a candle from the artificial famine organized by the Stalin regime.
